A Few Benefits of Online Voice Lessons…

Voice Lessons Success Stories
“My 11-year-old daughter Danielle has made huge strides as a singer since learning with Transitions Voice Lab! We not only rely on Norwood to expand her range and musical interpretation, but also to prepare her for musical theatre auditions. Norwood creates a safe space for her to grow, without judgement.”
- Judy Goss, QVC Host
“I’ve been taking voice lessons with Transitions Voice Lab for about 2 months, and I’ve really seen an improvement in my breath control! I’ve also been able to release a lot of the tension I had been feeling when reaching for those higher notes. Norwood is very knowledgable about vocal training for singing, and he has a teaching style that is easy to understand.”
- Sean VanMeter, Singer & Pianist

Wow - Norwood is awesome to work with! In 4 sessions I already feel more confident, and am relaxing more when I sing. He is very efficient, friendly, attentive, and communicates wonderfully. He has an amazing voice himself, and I can tell he is great in and understands all styles, and imagine he would be great with all ages and levels of singers. Highly recommended!

Fantastic and worth every penny! Norwood is extremely knowledgeable and has a very engaging teaching style to put one at ease. One lesson got my husband singing in tune after years of always singing flat! He actually enjoyed the session and looked forward to the next! Norwood accomplished AMAZING progress with a man who we all thought just could not sing. We were wrong. He just needed the right teacher.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, it’s free, and there is no catch!
I know choosing a voice teacher is a BIG decision, and so I want to meet you “face to face” (well, virtually at least 😉).
NOTE: To reduce no-shows, a $10 refundable deposit is required to book a consultation and will be refunded upon attendance. No-shows forfeit the deposit.
-
Nope, there is no obligation.
While I hope we will have a good connection and decide to work together more, I realize that not every teacher is the right fit for every student.
So all I ask for is 20 minutes of your time - anything beyond that is totally up to you!
-
I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons (all via Zoom). You can read more about my pricing and lesson packages here.
-
No. Your level of commitment is totally up to you!
We offer single lessons, lesson packages (which are a little more cost effective), and monthly lesson subscriptions that can be cancelled at any time.
-
The answer to this question will vary from person to person…
However, most students will hear the best results in their voice with weekly or bi-weekly lessons. This frequency ensures that you stay motivated with your practice and continue progressing, rather than rehashing old material that’s been forgotten.
That said, some students will prefer to have more than one lesson per week, and others only once a month. YOU choose how you wish to schedule your lessons.
-
I have experience teaching many genres, but especially Pop, R&B, Rock, and Country.
-
In my opinion, YES!
As long as you have a quiet place to sing and a stable internet connection, online lessons can be just as effective as in-person lessons, with the added benefits of more flexible scheduling, and being able to have lessons no matter where in the world you live!
