How We Do It
At Transitions Voice Lab, we teach only the very best, no-nonsense vocal techniques used by professionals and A-List Artists to quickly achieve results in your voice AND protect your vocal folds from damage and fatigue. We rely on the latest research in vocology, along with proven vocal methods to hand-craft bespoke lesson plans to address each student’s individual needs.
We conduct voice lessons online via Zoom video chat, so you can improve your voice from the comfort of your own home! We pride ourselves in providing a nurturing, affirming space for students to explore and develop their voices.

About Norwood
Born and raised in Atlanta, Norwood trained with some of the most renowned voice teachers in the United States, developing a foundation in classical vocal training, the Speech Level Singing (SLS) method, and other techniques. This diverse background allows him to adapt his approach for each student - whether a complete beginner or a seasoned performer - and across genres including R&B, pop, rock, musical theater, and country.
As a performer, Norwood has headlined festivals, toured in more than 10 countries, sung aboard luxury cruise lines, collaborated with legendary group The Weather Girls, and even opened for blues icon B.B. King. These experiences give him a unique perspective as a teacher, bridging technical knowledge with real-world artistry.
About Sidnei Alferes
Sidnei Alferes is a professional voice teacher and versatile vocal performer with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Doctoral Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah, alongside two Masters of Music degrees from Georgia State University and UNICAMP in Brazil. As an operatic tenor, he has performed internationally in the United States, Brazil, and Italy, including with the Atlanta Opera and Utah Opera Choruses.
Sidnei's expertise spans from classical and operatic repertory to sacred and popular music. He has a history of preparing students for competitions and auditions, with teaching experience at institutions such as Agnes Scott College, The University of Utah, and Georgia State University.
